Some Tips on Fuel Efficiency
Here are some tips on how to increase the fuel efficiency of your car and thereby save money :
Do not Drive. Before you get into your car,ask yourself " Is this trip really worth the gas ? " Maybe you ca walk a couple of blocks, ride a bike or take a bus to get your destination. If your destinations are near each other, park somewhere in between and instead of burning gas, bur some calories and walk.
Save fuel bu carpooling. Make arrangements with your neighbors, friends or colleagues in your work place or in school about the schedules. You can also lessen your reasons to drive by working closer to your home or taking public transportation to your work.
Filling up the tank early. Replenishing your car's fuel tank is best done early in the morning when it is cool. About 3 to 6 percent more fuel can be loaded compared to filling up at noon when the temperature is higher. After refilling, make sure that the fuel cap is tightened to lessen evaporation and prevent any spillage.
